Ancient Indian Sanskrit texts thousands of years old describe flying machines called Vimanas that used advanced, mercury-driven gyroscopes. Some of these texts even include detailed descriptions of the machine's construction, dimensions, etc.
"The Pushpaka chariot that resembles the Sun and belongs to my brother was brought by the powerful Ravana; that aerial and excellent chariot going everywhere at will .... that chariot resembling a bright cloud in the sky ... and the King [Rama] got in, and the excellent chariot at the command of the Raghira, rose up into the higher atmosphere.'"
~the Ramayana
It is the first flying vimana mentioned in Hindu mythology (as distinct from the gods' flying horse-drawn chariots).

Other examples of advanced(even by modern standards) weapons in ancient Sanskrit texts
One example in the Mahabharata(one of the two major Sanskrit epics of ancient India, the other being the Ramayana. The epic is part of the Hindu itihasa {or "history"}.) is that the Asura Maya had a Vimana measuring twelve cubits in circumference, with four strong wheels. Apart from 'blazing missiles', the poem records the use of other deadly weapons. 'Indra's Dart' (Indravajrā) operated via a circular 'reflector'. When switched on, it produced a 'shaft of light' which, when focused on any target, immediately 'consumed it with its power'.
In one exchange, the hero, Lord Krishna, is pursuing his enemy, Salva, in the sky, when Salva's Vimana, the Saubha, is made invisible in some way. Undeterred, Lord Krishna immediately fires off a special weapon: "I quickly laid on an arrow, which killed by seeking out sound"...
The oldest of these texts date back EIGHT THOUSAND YEARS.

Obama executive order: Council of 10 Governors
Obama has signed an executive order that establishes a council of ten governors - appointed by the president(naturally, wouldn't expect anything less *cough*bullshit*cough*).
Um... I thought we had FIFTY states? So this would consolidate that into 10 'zones'(?) so as to incorporate all places?... in the case of 'an emergency', of course. Nothing to see here, move along now... it's for your safety, remember? Um, 'terrorists', yeah, that's the ticket...
(consolidate = centralization of power; be it gas stations or governments)
"50 is too much, lets do 10... wait, 10 is too much to deal with, how about 5? wait, 5 is... "
Executive Order 13528
Establishment of the Council of Governors
functions -
(a) matters involving the National Guard of the various States;
(b) homeland defense;
(c) civil support;
(d) synchronization and integration of State and Federal military activities
in the United States; and
(e) other matters of mutual interest pertaining to National Guard, homeland
defense, and civil support activities.
* Signed: January 11, 2010
* Federal Register page and date: 75 FR 2053, January 14, 2010

"Repeaters", reality & waking up
here's the link in case the above video doesn't show up:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_4beKkXYgL0&feature=related
moral of the story: access to information dictates one's perception of 'reality'.
Even if something is TRUE, but outside of your frame of reference(possibly waaaaaay outside!), you might not believe it... "oh please, that's a bunch of bull!" Is it really? ...or is your ego saying "I'm not an idiot - if this was true, I'd know about it already."?
Now, that being said, if YOU control the access to said information, YOU control what people perceive as 'reality', right? Do you see how that can be a VERY dangerous power(weapon) to have over others?
I'd be willing to bet that MOST people would prefer to have ALL of the TRUE information and decide for themselves, eh? Isn't that what's called FREEDOM?
WAKING UP
-TAKE OFF THE BLINDERS.
Realize the TRUTH that things are NOT what we are being told.
-CHECK YOUR EGO.
We DON'T know everything... and that's NOT a testament to your intelligence or self-worth. It IS a testament to our so-called 'leaders' disdain for the very people who they are supposed to represent! People who say "secrets can't be kept, someone will always talk", have usually never been in the situation of having to keep secrets.
-ASK QUESTIONS & VERIFY THINGS FOR YOURSELF.
Never accept anything on blind faith. Our 'elected officials' have demonstrated beyond a shadow of a doubt that they will smile & lie to your face and shake your hand while doing it.
-THE INTERNET - AND YOUR MIND - ARE POWERFUL TOOLS - USE THEM.
In today's electronic-based world, EVERYTHING leaves a trail... it may(will) take some digging, but information CAN be independently verified/disproven. Unfortunately, this very fact also makes it easy to cloud the waters with mud, so your 'bullshit meter' needs to be set on high.
...Unexplained Truths...
This is a blog in which I will make posts on a variety of subjects, ranging from the paranormal to 'fringe' science, wacky stories, conspiracy theories, political intrigue, etc. Some things may freak you out, make you laugh, make you scratch your head and say "WTF?!" or even piss you off... but one thing is guaranteed - it will make you THINK.
...and quite frankly, we need alot more of that nowadays.
