"Stripping U.S. citizenship from terror suspects would make it easier to kill them"

"Stripping U.S. citizenship from terror suspects would make it easier to kill them"

WHAT THE FUCK?!

So if someone is named a 'terrorist' suspect, They(the government) can strip you of your US citizenship - which grants you protections under the Constitution - so if you're NOT a citizen anymore, the Constitution doesn't apply to you.

How can you be determined a 'terrorist' suspect?

They say so.

IS ANYONE AS FUCKING FLABBERGASTED AS I AM?!

WASHINGTON  - Stripping U.S. citizenship from terror suspects is not only the moral thing to do - it will make it easier to kill them, legislators argued Thursday.

"I suspect it would be easier to launch a Hellfire missile at a noncitizen than a citizen," said Rep. Charlie Dent (R-Pa.). He rolled out a proposal with Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.) and others giving the State Department power to yank the citizenship of Yanks who join up with Al Qaeda or similar groups.

State can already take that step against turncoats serving hostile foreign regimes under a 1940s law aimed at traitors who helped the Nazis or Japanese.

Lieberman said the arrest of Times Square plotter Faisal Shahzad shows the need for an Al Qaeda-era upgrade. "Our enemies today are even more willing than the Nazis or fascists were to kill innocent civilian Americans here in our homeland," he said.

Critics said the courts would block such a move - among them Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.). But Schumer agrees the laws need to be looked at.

"It is extremely important to get as much information as possible from suspected terrorists, and get it quickly," Schumer said. "But we must do it in a way that is both constitutional and effective."

Attorney General Eric Holder argued in a hearing that current law works, including granting Miranda rights. He noted Shahzad is talking to investigators.

Lieberman believes tougher, military treatment is required. He noted the President reportedly has already gone further than stripping citizenship by targeting Yemen-based American terror cleric Anwar al Awlaki for death.

Okay, tell me again how this is all some wacky conspiracy theory dreamed up by paranoid schizophrenics...  I am seriously shocked right now. (although I shouldn't be)

So it would be easier for our military or law enforcement - which is supposed to be separate according to the Posse Comitatus Act, a United States federal law (18 U.S.C. § 1385) passed on June 18, 1878, after the end of Reconstruction, with the intention (in concert with the Insurrection Act of 1807) of substantially limiting the powers of the federal government to use the military for law enforcement - to shoot someone if they weren't technically 'a citizen'.  US troops killing US inhabitants? Nah, that could never happen...  could it?  You tell me.

what the fuck has happened to our country?
